Two men are facing charges after allegedly killing a man they found in a home they were intent on ransacking. Both the accused, who are from the Madison County area in Missouri, have been charged with three counts of first-degree murder, one count of armed robbery and one count of home invasion. They will both need to mount a strong criminal defense to fight the charges.
The 24-year-old male victim was fatally shot. He was one of a number of people in the home when the two defendants allegedly broke into the residence after 11 p.m. recently. Police said the two accused also threatened the homeowner with violence and robbed a guest.
The homeowner supposedly knew one of the defendants and gave police his name. Police used the help of social media to track the two men down and are looking for other persons of interest, although they did not release details. One of the accused, who was convicted in the past of aggravated domestic battery, was also charged with the unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
The lives of Missouri residents who are convicted of murder will change drastically. In order to fight the charges, those accused need to have a strong criminal defense team in their corner. An attorney will review all the evidence in order to devise a strategy to defend against the formal accusations. Even when the evidence appears formidable, the lawyer will focus on protecting the legal rights of the accused through every stage of the criminal proceedings.
