Police in St. Louis and elsewhere have difficult and dangerous jobs. It comes with the territory. However, the city does not take violent actions against its police officers lightly. Recently four young men were arrested for allegedly shooting at two officers. If charged, each of these individuals has the right to a criminal defense.
According to a recent news report, in the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 6, police officers were on patrol near Semple and Minerva Avenues when they were allegedly shot at from a passing car. The vehicle was described as a Chrysler Sebring in a gold color. The car in question swiftly sped away. Law enforcement authorities pulled over a car with that description a little over a mile away from where the incident occurred.
There were four individuals in the vehicle, all males, ages 21, 18, 17 and 15. They were all taken into police custody. Authorities have not indicated what charges are expected in this case. This incident is still under investigation.
The accused individuals are likely feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about their futures at the moment. Given the circumstances, these are perfectly reasonable feelings.
