Sydney N. Haberberger

Sydney N. Haberberger brings a practical, courtroom-tested perspective to sensitive legal disputes and high-stakes proceedings. Before joining Grant, Miller & Smith, LLC in 2025, Sydney served with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Legal Services, where she represented the Department in child protection cases, termination of parental rights proceedings, and both adult and minor guardianships, with a focus on securing stable, permanent homes for children and youths in the foster care system. She previously practiced in the St. Charles County Juvenile Office, representing the Juvenile Officer in child protection and delinquency matters from initial filing through trial and disposition. Sydney began her career at the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, prosecuting a broad range of cases from misdemeanors to high-level felonies involving domestic violence and child abuse.

Sydney earned her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she was recognized for her achievements in Advanced Trial Practice. She graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Spanish and Criminology/Criminal Justice. Her public service has been recognized with the Professional and Leadership Development Award from the Missouri Department of Social Services.
