Lawyer Greg Smith brings a unique background to criminal defense. In addition to a law degree, he holds a master’s degree in forensic science from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Mr. Smith previously served as a DNA analyst for the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory in Maryland, where he earned a Noble Eagle award for his work identifying the remains of victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Mr. Smith’s extensive experience with DNA analysis, lab testing procedures and other biological evidence serves as a distinct benefit for the firm’s criminal defense clients.
Mr. Smith also serves as a member of the Criminal Justice Act Lead Panel of attorneys for the federal Eastern District Court of Missouri. He recently completed a course in DWI detection and standardized sobriety testing, an in-depth training sponsored and approved by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). In addition to criminal defense, Mr. Smith also handles juvenile law matters.
